Did you know that every elementary and middle school building is a little different than others? While all CCS schools have the same academic standards, each building can have a little different feel or focus. Some buildings focus on STEM, some on reading, some have ESL programs, some have gifted programs, etc. Middle school can be a great time to explore school choice options for your child. If you are interested in exploring school choice options within CCS, you can get general information and view the video profiles of each Middle School here. Elementary School profiles are not yet available but will be when the application window opens.

• Elementary School Lottery Applications: Accepted via the Parent Portal Tuesday, February 1, 2022 through Thursday, March 31, 2022.

Elementary School Fair will be February 3, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

In the event Gables needs to transition to remote learning, sometimes a last-minute decision will be made. These will be handled similarly to a snow day: Families will receive an email, robocall and it will be broadcast on the news/CCS website. Thank you for your flexibility during this time as we all work to weather this new wave of COVID-19. If you have technical difficulties logging in remotely, please contact your child's teacher.

Thank you for returning the Student Guide to Success booklets! If you haven't yet completed your child's, please do so. Remember to print your child's name clearly in the spaces provided. It's helpful if you also write their name on the front cover as well.

Each child should be doing at least 30 minutes Reading and 30 minutes Math each week (older grades have a 45 minute minimum). You can access iReady through Clever.com.

Each week, the student with the most minutes in each class is entered into a drawing for a free book token to our book vending machine!

Good citizens help keep their school and community clean and are nice to their neighbors.

Help connect social emotional learning (SEL) at home with school by encouraging your Gator to display Citizenship and maybe win Student of the Month in their class!

Free admission to COSI every weekend in January for CCS families. Reservations are currently booked, but you may be able to attend if you take the green ticket your child received directly to COSI. Free admission is not guaranteed but possible.
