Greetings from Dr. Rose

Greetings from the only one JBE where we inspire and equip your students to love where they learn this school year. It is hard to believe that in just a few short days, we will close the book on the 2017-2018 school year. I appreciate more than I can express your involvement in your student's education. Our school theme this year has been "Love where you learn" and it has been our mission to help our students understand not only how wonderful their school really is, but how wonderful learning is as well. We thank you for your efforts in helping us achieve those goals.

At the end of this school year, we say "see you later" to some outstanding educators. The following JBE staff will be retiring at the end of this year:

Debbie Bahnmuller

Tonya Brownlee

Nicole Burris

Kathy Insabella

CeCy Jacobs

They are amazing teachers and amazing people. Our school, while extremely sad that we will no longer be a part of their every day lives, are extremely excited about the next chapter in their lives.

It is my wish that each of you have a wonderful, safe summer vacation and that each student completes their summer slide project. We are already planning 2018-2019 and no I will not detail the school theme just yet, but it will be OUTSTANDING!

InfoSnap Portal

We are excited to announce online Registration for the upcoming school year is open!! This process replaces the paper forms sent home at the beginning of each school year. Your Registration for Spartanburg School District 7 is now available online.

Field Day

Weather patterns are very unpredictable and we still plan on having field day. It is our hope that any thunderstorms will be afternoon thunderstorms and we will have finished field day prior to those popping up.

We will continue field day if it is just raining.

If you are taking your student home from Spartanburg High School on Friday, you will need to find Dr. Rose and sign out with her prior to leaving SHS.

We also have many library books out and lunch fees unpaid. Students may be in jeopardy of attending field day if those aren't not taken care of by Friday. We appreciate your prompt attention to those matters. Any inquiries about lunch fees can be handled by calling our Lunch Room at 594-4433.

Field day will begin as close to 8:30am as possible on Friday. Coach B and Coach Kite would love any assistance prior to 8:30 in getting things set up.

This week a student was asking his teacher why they were working on just hard math and another student answered "Because our teacher cares about our learning and MAY MATTERS!" I was so thrilled that my newsletter must have been talked about at home by this family. We believe that here. May does matter. While we are doing many celebrations, our students have been working hard as well. Below are just some pictures from some of the rigorous activities our students have been working on just this week.

Below are several opportunities for students (and one for parents). As I receive these types of things, I like to make you aware of those opportunities. Please peruse them for any that may be interesting to you.
