MCCHS FRIDAY FOCUS
194th EDITION: May 14, 2021
From the Desk of Mr. Benji Winkelman
Great things are rarely achieved by just one person. Usually, they are accomplished by a group of people, and when everyone is working toward the same goal, teams move faster, are more innovative and are more successful. During this unprecedented school year we have seen teams, clubs and groups of students working together to overcome barriers to achieve common goals. This has been evident through the return of sports, homecoming decorating, prom, a powderpuff football game and some wonderful service projects that were accomplished by our clubs and organizations.
While we have celebrated our teams and individual achievements, there is one team that goes unnoticed that I would like to bring to your attention. Our wonderful yearbook staff has had the opportunity and responsibility to document all of these great moments. These students have worked hard spending countless hours documenting each one of these moments, and what is more impressive is that they have done it all in about four months.
Each year for various reasons, we all look back through our yearbooks, searching for a forgotten name or face, remembering a team or a performance that we participated in and all of those great memories come rushing back. This amazing group of people have worked together to provide us with that opportunity to look back and remember 2021. Thank you to Conor Drafz, Jamie Gustafson, Delaney Hopp, Isabelle Molina, Ava Palmenteri, Emily Richie, Maggie Sharp, Elizabeth Young and our yearbook advisor, Mrs. Andrea Radcliffe. You take the time to make sure every student is recognized, and multiple times no less. Your creativity, positive attitude and determination is recognized by us all, and we thank you for marking our place at Marian Central! Congratulations to the class of 2021 and I hope everyone has a safe and restful summer.
