Celebrating our Diversity!
Winchester Families, Mrs. Bush needs your expert input! As part of our daily Social Emotional Learning (SEL) focus, we are learning more about "Diversity," which includes learning about various cultures and any differences that may exist among two people. If you would like to help educate our students about your culture or differences, please complete the attached slide and email it to bushje@northvilleschools.org. This information will be announced each Friday throughout the year to help our students become educated and accepting of differences.

Carpool Reminders
For the safety of our students, we ask that you use the following etiquette while in the carpool drop off lane. It is for the safety of all that we need everyone to follow these instructions.
- Pull ALL THE WAY forward to the front of the carpool lane before dropping children off or picking children up.
- Try to stay BUMPER TO BUMPER in the carpool lane, don’t leave space between cars
- Students should get in and out on the passenger side of the vehicle.
- Drivers remain in the car.
- Drop off all children at one time and not at each entrance door during arrival.
The Winchester staff will be present to ensure safe arrival procedures are being followed. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe!
Mr. Scott will be out during arrival each morning in the crosswalk. Please for the safety of our dragon students and staff, drive carefully and slowly through the carpool lane. Be alert and follow the instructions of Mr. Scott and the adult crossing guards.
Thank you to the Livonia Shake Shack!
The staff was treated to delicious shakes from the Livonia Shake Shack on Thursday. Thank you Mrs. Jalpota for organizing, picking them up, and delivering them to the school!
Food Waste During Breakfast and Lunch
We are happy to be able to provide free breakfast and lunch for our students. We have noticed the amount of food waste has increased this year. Students are signing up to receive breakfast and or lunch and they are not eating it. Items are being thrown in the trash unopened. Some students are bringing a lunch in addition to ordering school lunch and then not eating the school lunch or their lunch they brought from home. Please discuss with your child the breakfast and lunch choices and make sure they like what is being served in an effort to reduce the amount of food waste at Winchester.
