Trailblazer Times
Wildlight Elementary School
October and November Were Fun Filled Months!
Our students and staff have had a great time learning and having fun over the past two months. From our exciting BINGO for Books Reading Night, to the Tropicana Speech Contest, to the Veterans Day Program, to the Character Book Dress Up Parade- life has. Been great being a Trailblazer! Check some pics from each event below!!
Tropicana Speech Contest
Congrats to the winner of the 4th and 5th grade Tropicana Speech Contest, Reagan Devoux from Mrs. Ruling's class! All of the students did a fantastic job delivering their speeches and we are so proud of their efforts.
BINGO for Books
Wildlight students and their families had a great time playing BINGO and winning TONS of books at our first annual BINGO for Books event! Each family was also sent home with a "Reading Tool Kit" to assist them with practicing their reading skills and strategies at home with any book.

Celebrating Those Who Serve and Have Served Our Country
Our students honored our country's veterans at our annual Veterans Day Program on Nov. 9th. Wildlight is grateful for your service, past and present. We are truly the land of the free BECAUSE of the brave!
What's the Weather Going to be Like Today?
Our 5th grade students were paid a visit by Action News Jax's very own weatherman, Garrett Bedenbaugh, and the Storm Tracker. What a great way to pull together all that the students have learned about weather and the water cycle over the past few weeks. They enjoyed hearing about Mr. Bedenbaugh's career, and loved the Storm Tracker!!!
