The 9th grade soccer girls finished up their season last night with a 4-0 win over Harwood.
Goals were scored by Maddie Solano (twice), Kassidy McSweeney, and Carrington Mitchum. With a strong Defense and Ashlee Wallace in goal the team secured their 15th shutout of the season. Their overall record was 12-1-5. I’m proud of the way these girls have come together to make this season competitive, fun and memorable. Way to go Lady Broncos!!!
8TH GRADE GIRLS BASKETBALL
The 8th grade Lady Bronco Basketball team finished their season with the Big 12 Tournament this past weekend.
On Friday, the Broncos played Central Junior High. The Lady Broncos competed at the highest level against a quick Spartan team. The game went back and forth all the way to last seconds of the game. Unfortunately, we did not come out on top, and lost 53-54. Macey Mercer had 25 points, Kennedy Wright had 16, Makyagh Morgan 6, and Raegan Warren with 4.
The Lady Broncos competed for the 3rd place spot against Euless Junior High on Saturday. The girls won 41-28. Great season Lady Broncos!
7TH GRADE GIRLS BASKETBALL
The 7th grade girls athletics program continued their dominance through the basketball season, finishing with both teams undefeated overall.
The A team walked away from the district tournament Saturday with another 1st pace medal, beating a scrappy Central team Friday night by 9 in the semi-finals, and out-scoring Hurst in the finals 31-20.
This team played unselfish, team basketball all year. They outscored their opponents 447-188 overall, and everyone was responsible for outstanding play on offense and defense at some point during the season. They’ve represented BJH well all year. Coach Schulz is extremely proud of these young ladies! Congrats girls!
