Friday 5 December 2014

The weather has been very cold this week and we even saw the first sprinkles of snow on Wednesday which was lovely as we are singing about snowflakes in our Sing-Along. The Rubies and Sapphires joined together several times this week to practise our singing and we are getting really good. We hope you are going to enjoy our performance next Tuesday!

We would like to thank you for sending your children in with hats, scarves and gloves. We would respectfully ask that scarves are 'child-size' and not overly long.

In maths this week we have been looking at 2D shapes in our environment. We went around school searching for 2D shapes and learning their names. In class we have had fun designing and making snowmen using circles and rectangles.

We continued our topic theme by looking at our baby photographs and thinking about how we have grown.

According to the Dutch tradition the children put a boot out on Thursday hoping for a treat from Sint. We had lots of fun searching the outdoor area on Friday for our missing boots, which we were delighted to find had something inside! For the children who were not here on Thursday and Friday - be sure to check your coat pegs on Monday...... :)
