The weather has been very cold this week and we even saw the first sprinkles of snow on Wednesday which was lovely as we are singing about snowflakes in our Sing-Along. The Rubies and Sapphires joined together several times this week to practise our singing and we are getting really good. We hope you are going to enjoy our performance next Tuesday!
We would like to thank you for sending your children in with hats, scarves and gloves. We would respectfully ask that scarves are 'child-size' and not overly long.
In maths this week we have been looking at 2D shapes in our environment. We went around school searching for 2D shapes and learning their names. In class we have had fun designing and making snowmen using circles and rectangles.
We continued our topic theme by looking at our baby photographs and thinking about how we have grown.
According to the Dutch tradition the children put a boot out on Thursday hoping for a treat from Sint. We had lots of fun searching the outdoor area on Friday for our missing boots, which we were delighted to find had something inside! For the children who were not here on Thursday and Friday - be sure to check your coat pegs on Monday...... :)

Just look at our fantastic snowmen! We created them using paint and found buttons, look out for them when you come and see us sing on Tuesday!
Sint has been!!!
Sinterklaas has been to school! We all left our boots by the door on Thursday evening and on Friday morning we arrived to find he had put our boots OUTSIDE!! We went outside to find our boots and he had filled them with goodies!!
Dank je wel Sinterklaas!!

The happiest snowmen in town!
Look out for these colourful snowmen on Tuesday!
We are really enjoying be able to choose our own construction resources and are experimenting with modelling using different types in one project. We are sharing ideas and working together.
Hunting for our boots!
Sint left as a surprise in our boots - but first we had to find them!!
