Principal's Notes and Highlights

CSA Lincoln Family,

I am struggling to find the right words to share with you. At this time, I'm just going to include the message I shared with our students this morning.

February 2nd Morning Announcement

As you know, on Friday we usually go to Town Hall Meetings. This morning you are going to be staying in the classroom for announcements and the moment of silence.

Today, I only have one announcement to share and it will be a difficult one to hear. We were sad to learn yesterday that first grade student, Savanna Jessie, had died. Savanna had bright blonde hair, a beautiful smile, loved school and was a great friend to all of us. She may have been your classmate, book buddy, friend in iCare or the sister of one of your friends. Savanna has three siblings that go to our school. They are Keegan, Carson and Bri. They are at home with their family during this difficult time.

It is ok to be sad about this. We will all miss her very much. It is also ok to ask questions. We may not have all the answers. That’s ok.

The important thing to remember is that we are a family. The adults in this building love you very much. We are here for you. We know you will be a good friend to those who are sad and when the time comes, you will be good friends when her brothers and sister return to school.

As a CSA Lincoln family, one way that we can show support to Savanna and her family is through a moment of silence. So, at this time, please join me in a moment of silence in remembrance of our classmate Savanna.

I have been in contact with the family. When appropriate, we will share how CSA Lincoln can support Savanna’s family.

Hang in there,
