We will assist public middle and high school students in Forsyth County in preparing themselves for successful college enrollment.

We seek to ensure that every public school student in Forsyth County has the opportunity to attend college.
Welcome to the 2020-21 school year Middle School Crosby Scholars!
In the midst of many changes this year due to COVID-19, we want you to know:
Crosby Scholars is here for you!
We've Gone Virtual!
We have virtual options for completing Crosby Scholars Requirements this year.
You will be required to "attend" one Crosby Scholars Academy this school year.
Virtual options for academy will be announced and posted to your Student Portal by October 1.
You are also required to perform at least 2 hours of community service by April 14, 2021.
We now have an online community service form!
Visit the community service page to access the online form and to view a list of community service opportunities you can complete at home!
Invite your friends to join the Crosby Scholars Program!
The application for Crosby Scholars is open. Tell your friends about us! Spread the word to any 6th grade student you know!
We offer opportunities for leadership, service, and college preparation that increase your college enrollment options.
Check your emails next week to hear about our "invite a friend" contest.
You could win a gift card for telling a friend about Crosby Scholars!

Don't forget what YOU offer the community as a Crosby Scholar. Your active volunteering makes a difference. Here are a few examples of students making a difference in their community. We will highlight 2 students a week this year, and you'll be hearing from us about how YOU can submit a community service highlight this school year.

I Count. You Count. We All Count in the 2020 Census!
Did you know that the 2020 Census results impacts federal funding that goes toward critical programs like Pell Grants and health care services?
The once-a-decade population count also serves as the basis for distributing federal assistance to schools and educational institutions, including Title I aid, the National School Lunch Program, and special education grants to states.
Please encourage your family, friends and neighbors to complete the 2020 Census!

The United Way Needs Your Input
The Crosby Scholars Program is sharing this United Way of NC COVID-19 Impact Survey to help the United Way identify the economic impact of COVID-19 in our community. We encourage you to participate, however, completing this survey does not impact your participation in the Crosby Scholars Program. This survey will take about 5 to 7 minutes to complete and will close on August 28.
Parents, you can view announcements , events, and confirm if your child has fulfilled program requirements by logging in to the Crosby Scholars Parent Portal. If you need assistance accessing the parent portal, please email middleschool@crosbyscholars.org.
