THE WARRIOR WEEKLY
FEBRUARY 29TH, 2016
THE WES-DEL APOCALYPSE
The annual Wes-Del Apocalypse took place this past Tuesday night at the boy's basketball game. Students and faculty from Taylor University made their way to Richard E. Johnson gymnasium to cheer on the Warriors. The students conducted a smaller version of their "Silent Night," which they hold annually at the last home Taylor basketball game before the holiday break. During the "Silent Night," fans do not make any noise until the team reaches a certain point. That point for us on Tuesday night was five, and Sam Smoot broke the silence with his basket. The link to the Star Press video, as well as, articles relating to the evening are below for your personal reading.

ISTEP PREP SESSION
NO TEST PREP DURING PRIDE THIS WEEK!
Once again, there will be no mandatory test preparation taking place in any of the PRIDE groups this week due to testing. Please give this time for students to have a break from all the standardized testing. This may be a great time to let them stretch, rest, read, or use as a study hall. It is completely up to you!

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY MR. MCGLOTHIN!
It was bound to happen. I forgot to recognize a birthday from last week. We want to wish a very belated birthday to Mr. McGlothin from this past Friday, February 26th. Please accept my apology for missing this staff birthday.
THE STAFF SPOTLIGHT
The staff spotlight shines brightly on our Warrior Athletic Department this week. Mr. Denney and Mrs. Baldwin have been hard at work preparing to host the IHSAA Sectional 55 here at Wes-Del. This is a major undertaking, and one in which we are very proud. Please understand that it may be a little crazy around the office and the south end of the high school, as they will be hosting six teams over the course of three nights of basketball games. We are very excited, and it couldn't have come together without the work of our fantastic athletic department. Thank you Mr. Denney and Mrs. Baldwin. Also, a special thanks to Mrs. Benirschke who has also put in a great deal of work.
