Adjustment to Friday flag raising ceremony
Beginning this Friday, students will be directed to their lockers before the flag-raising ceremony. This adjustment allows them to drop off their winter clothes, backpacks, and other belongings before proceeding to the gym with their classroom teachers. As a result of this adjustment, we anticipate that flag-raising will commence closer to 8:50 a.m.
We would like to reassure you that parents are still more than welcome to join us each week for a time of community building and celebration of our unique school culture. Your presence is valued, and we look forward to continuing to foster a strong sense of community together.

Multicultural Night is Jan. 26 at Maple!
The second annual Multicultural Night presented by Wescott and Willowbrook will be January 26, 2024, 5:30-7:30pm, at Maple School. The event is open to all Wescott and Willowbrook families.
Sign up below to host a table from the country/culture of your choice and showcase its unique cultures and traditions. Tables should be set up so that students can experience cultural activities at each table and/or enjoy delicious ethnic snacks. The event will serve as a window for the students to see the rich cultures in our community and an opportunity for families from different cultural backgrounds to showcase their heritages.

Smartphone/watch policy at school
At Willowbrook School, we're committed to creating a positive and focused learning environment for all our students. To support this goal, we have a simple policy outlined in the Willowbrook Parent/Student Handbook regarding communication devices.
Please ensure that your child's cell phones and smart watches are silenced or turned off during school hours. For convenience, we recommend keeping cell phones in student lockers and setting smartwatches to "airplane" or "school mode" to disable text, internet, and phone call features if worn on the wrist.
To maintain a distraction-free atmosphere, we kindly request parents refrain from texting or calling their children on personal communication devices during school hours. If you need to get in touch, feel free to contact the front office, and we'll be happy to assist.
Our dedicated staff may ask students not following the policy to store their devices in backpacks or lockers. If issues persist, the student may be requested to drop off the device at the front office. In such cases, parents or guardians will be contacted to retrieve the device at a convenient time.
Thank you for partnering with us to ensure a focused and positive learning environment for all Willowbrook students. Your support is greatly appreciated!
Missing items? Please check the lost & found
Our lost and found baskets are overflowing. Please have your child check the baskets by the front doors for any items that belong to them. Items not claimed by winter break will be donated. Thank you!
