Dear Parents and Carers,
What a wonderfully festive week it has been in school!
It has been a very busy week too as we have had rehearsals and recordings of Key stage One and EYFS singing Christmas songs, Year 6 joining with the other MAT schools to sing together in 'A Star at Christmas', the EYFS nativity production 'Whoops-a-Daisy Angel' and ending this afternoon with KS2 carols in the playground this afternoon.. Parents should by now have received the relevant link to view their child's class performance.
On Wednesday we welcomed our new vicar, Revd. Paulie to school. Revd. Paulie is looking forward to working closely with the school and our pupils and will be taking up the ex-officio role on the governing body. We also said goodbye and thank you to Revd. Lucy, who will be moving on to pastures new.
Thursday saw us all dressed in an array of Christmas jumpers to raise money for the Friends of Kirk Fenton and we enjoyed Christmas dinner together with music, crackers and chocolate donated by the Friends.
Finally, we finish today hoping you are able to join us for carols in the playground to end the year singing, especially as we haven't been allowed to do this for the last two years! We look forward to seeing everyone back in school at 08:50 on Wednesday 5th January 2022.
I wish you and your families a safe, merry and peaceful Christmas and wish you all the very best for the new year.
