Updates:
Hello BPES Family,
The first week of school has been truly awesome. I noticed the strong and intentional focus on relationship building. The time spent in investing in relationship building will pay dividends in the future. Next week, our walk-through will be focused on the following:
Positive Learning Environment
I attached the below link was is aligned to the Teaching and Learning Cycle. This rubric is the same that is used for observations.
Look at the rubric to familiarize yourself with the expectation. Also, see below..
- The harmonica should be used during instruction and transition
- Class Dojo Points should be given throughout the day
- Student work should be posted by next Friday
- Outcomes should be posted
C/Planning will start the week of September 16th, take the time to plan with your team and continue preparing for the school year.
Schedule Changes
After talking with the Leadership Team, we have decided to adjust the lunch ans recess schedule. This means starting Monday, I want all teachers in each grade level to go outside at recess. Additionally I am asking Portia and Tammy ( thanks for your leadership) to communicate with their teams to discuss additional ways to provide a positive lunch experience. This includes rewards, math facts, possible movie, music or other ideas.. I want your feedback.
Thank you for a wonderful week.
P.S. Dr. Arlotto and team was impressed that you were teaching on Day 4. I had the opportunity to brag about you and your work. Job well done..
