This statue is one of the biggest tourist attractions. They made this statue in honor of a boy who was lost, and found later that day.
Grand Place
It's in the heart of Brussels (Brussels old town) it's one of Belgiums biggest attractions! Probably because it's so old, being built in the 14th century.

Peyo
He was born in Brussels and he was the one who wrote the Smurfs comic strip 1958. He wrote lots of cartoons but the Smurfs is what made him famous.
Jacques Brel
He was a famous and passionate singer. He wrote many songs about success, failure, dreams and dilutions. His songs are so powerful and some Americans have even covered some of his songs like David Bowie and Dusty Springlfield.
Georges Prosper Remi
He loved to draw and he published his first comic strip, Le Boy-Scout Belge, 1926. That's when his career began. He worked for a Catholic newspaper, and then later started working on his own stuff 'The Adventures of Tintin' which is what made him big.
