Placerita Prospector
Placerita Jr. High School - January 24, 2021
Welcome to Week Three of 2021
Good Evening Placerita Families…
This week we are sharing more information about the new PM Schedules that will start this week so take a look below for more information. To address one question that I know will come up, PM time for students is not mandatory for all; however, it will be mandatory for those who are invited or scheduled to attend by a teacher.
We have a drive through for English novel pick-up this Thursday. See article below for more information. We are also still collecting books this week like we have been. Thanks to all who have helped us with that.
There is also important information about the Academy of the Canyons below as well. Take a look if you might be interested in attending there.
Have a good week!
Mr. Turner

Sr. Turner

Information about Mandatory (MAP) Time After Lunch/Información sobre el tiempo obligatorio (MAP) después del almuerzo
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Big Event on Thursday for Many 7th Grade Students/Gran evento el jueves para muchos estudiantes de 7º grado

Regan.
We also have the regular book return going on this week too... See below.
Very Important Information about our Book Returns / Información muy importante sobre nuestras devoluciones de libros
We know that we are in a very difficult time to keep up with all our books and being able to make the time to return them. However, we have some classes that will not be able to provide the reading materials for students if we do not get all our books back so we can turn around and check them out to a different group of students. Another thing to remember is that missing textbook situations stay on your transcript all the way through High School and are one of the things that can create serious problems down the road (like High School diplomas being held or transcripts not being released... Yikes!) so please help us collect all these so we can continue to serve all students with reading materials. Thanks for your help with this. Note the information below...
1. Any student who has any of the following novels needs to return them the week of 1/25, if possible:
Stargirl
Invisible Lines
Freak the Mighty
The Color of my Words
The Giver
Peak
(The first four novels were checked out to 7th graders either in August or for 2nd quarter. The final two novels were checked out to 8th graders at the same times.)
2. Books may be returned to the front office between the hours of 7:30 AM and 2:45 PM. There will be a cart up front for collections.
3. The library will be sending out overdue notices to students and parents on Tuesday 1/12. The note will show what is overdue and the replacement cost if the item has been lost.
Thank you!

Freak the Mighty
El color de mis palabras
El dador
Pico
¡Gracias!
