Important Dates and Information
Veterans Day, 2017:
Please take a moment this weekend to remember all members of our military, past and present, who help to preserve our freedoms and liberties. We are so proud of all of our students. They made cards for Veterans over the past week. The cards are being delivered to Vets all around the country. The organization, Operation Stand Down, and our local Applebee's Restaurant will help to make that happen.
Information about our December 6th Campfire and Books Title One Event:
We are a Full Title One School, so that means that all families may participate in all Title One events regardless of whether or not (your) student/child qualify for Title One Reading and/or Mathematics services. Basically, all Title One Events are Free of charge and are open for all to attend.
Our Campfire and Books event, scheduled for December 6th, is going to be held indoors. No real campfires will be lit outside. We are setting up indoor "faux" campfires around the building. You will have a chance to sit and relax while reading a book with your kid(s).
You may bring a blanket, pillow, lawn chair, or whatever suits you to sit around the indoor campfire. A flyer regarding the event was sent home last week on bright, colorful paper. Please fill out the bottom portion of the paper and return it to the school, so we can get an accurate count of those interested in attending.
