Remotely Control Your Computer
With Chrome Remote Desktop a teacher could control a computer via another computer, tablet, or smartphone. Think about how beneficial this could be. Teachers could be mobile in their classrooms without being constrained to their desktop computer and/or Promethean Board.
Visit the Chrome Web Store and search for the Chrome Remote Desktop App. Click the blue + Add to Chrome Button. After authorizing the app for the first time, you will be able to install it.
Step 2: Install Chrome Remote Desktop
Locate the Remote Desktop on your computer. Double-click the file to run the installer. After following the on-screen directions, choose a numeric PIN. After successfully reentering a PIN, you will get a confirmation message stating "Remote connections for this computer have been enabled." (Note: You will need to download Chrome Remote Desktop on both the host computer and the device to be used to control the host.)
Step 3: Access your computer (from another device)
From a device other than your original computer - Open the Chrome Remote Desktop App. From the list of computers enabled with this app, choose the computer you would like to control. Enter the PIN that you set up on your original computer. Click Connect.
Download the App for tablet or Smartphone:
Step 4: Access another computer (that is shared with you)
Open the Chrome Remote Desktop App, click the Access button. Enter the access code (different than the PIN), 12 digits long, that is given by the host computer.
