Mark Zuckerberg is famous for being the CEO and co-founder of social networking site, Facebook. In his late teens, Zuckerberg worked with a private tutor with computers and worked as a computer programmer for fellow Harvard students.

History

Mark Zuckerberg was born on May 14, 1984, in White Plains, New York. His parents were Edward Zuckerberg, who was a dentist, and Karen Zuckerberg, who worked as a psychiatrist. Zuckerberg had three sisters who were Arielle, Randi, and Donna Zuckerberg. In 2002, Zuckerberg graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy, and then enrolled in Harvard University, but dropped out in order to maintain Facebook.

Mark Zuckerberg currently has a net worth of $47.2 billion.

Facebook constantly updates its site with new features daily, but removes them if the feature is unpopular. Last year, Facebook had a controversial addition that forced mobile Facebook users to download a separate app for messaging.

Philanthropy

Mark Zuckerberg is undoubtedly a very generous man. He donated $75 million to the San Francisco General Hospital, and $25 million to the CDC (Center for Disease Control). This shows that Zuckerberg cares greatly about healthcare. In addition, he also donated $100 million to Newark public schools as well as $5 million to fund college scholarships for immigrants without documents.
