Sarah Feuerbacher, Ph.D., LCSW-S earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work, Master of
Social Work with a specialization in clinical practice with children and families, and Doctorate
of Philosophy in Educational Psychology specializing in Gifted and Talented Education from
Baylor University. Dr. Feuerbacher is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor, Practical
Parent Education Certified Parent Educator, and State of Texas Parent Mediator/Facilitator. Dr.
Feuerbacher has worked as a helping professional in the mental health field in numerous
capacities, including private practices, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, hospital
settings, faith-based clinics, program evaluation, administration and grant writing, in addition to
many years teaching in academia, ranging from elementary-age children to adult learners in
higher education. For many years, Dr. Feuerbacher was employees fulltime by Southern
Methodist University as Clinic Director of the Family Counseling Center, and she continues to
teach in the Graduate Department of Dispute Resolution and Counseling. Dr. Feuerbacher now
works fulltime in her own community where she sees children, individuals, couples, families and
groups at her practice, Counseling CARE Prosper. Dr. Feuerbacher’s clinical focus and public
speaking specializations are in the areas of using holistic approaches in working with diverse
individuals to overcome personal, relational, or environmental challenges by identifying and
empowering their innate strengths using a multiple-intelligences approach, as well as utilizing
intrapersonal and environmental systems that can create successful goals, positive relationships,
and healthy lifestyles. Dr. Feuerbacher enjoys serving on several boards in the field and her local
community, and she spends countless hours coaching youth sports teams. In her spare time, she
helps bring happiness and joy to families by planning their magical Disney Vacations through
her family-run business, Glass Slipper Getaways.
