One advantage to using credit is you can buy large items that you cant afford right at that time. You can slowly pay it off and you can use it for emergencies. Now there are many disadvantages. People can build up their debt to where they cant pay it off. Almost all College students can get one. And Credit Card fraud, somebody can still you card and pay for things.
What is APR
APR stands for Annual Percent Rate and it is how much the percent you pay for loaning the money for an item. If you buy a Xbox for $300 and you have a APR of 18% you can pay $30 a month and it will take you 11 months to pay it off and it will be like $30 extra for just loaning the money.
How to look at your credit score for free
One website that you can look at your credit report for free is credit karma. It is very important to look at your credit score because you can't get all the loans you want if you have a bad credit score. If you have a bad credit score and you don't know you should call all of your credit cards.
