Continue Connecting!

What a remarkable event! If this was your first Italian Night we hope you had the chance to enjoy every part of it. Dozens of volunteers came together to provide the perfect event for seeing the entire Hillcrest community while raising money for programs and classrooms. A special thank you to Kim Smith and Nicole Grisar for chairing this event. Thank you to Nicole Zeroth for coordinating the tickets sales and distribution. Thank you to Lori Loeschmann for coordinating the beautiful decorations and thank you to Jackie Boehringer for organizing the bake sale and the amazong classroom projects.

Special thanks also to Chris Adent, Nikki Hoch, Rob Grisar, Abby and Ashley Dahler, Angela Paap, Jen Theide, Donelle Russell, Jamie Watson, Stephanie Damien, Kat Kaiser and Heather Ward for planning, organizing and carrying out of ALL of the many pieces it takes to put this event together! The PTO would like to thank all of the teachers and staff and the families who donated time and items.

There are so many more to thank. Please know that your work is appreciated by our entire community!

Next week holds additional chances to connect through Coffee with the Principal and our March PTO meeting.

*Coffee with the Principal will focus on a GE Service Day we have been granted that will occur this August. We are also discussing a review of our before and after school child care programming.

*The PTO Meeting is at 6:15 on Wednesday the 14th. At this meeting, Darren Clark, the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services will join us to present to parents important information connected to the Community Focus Groups. He will also share future plans for the capital improvements in the School District of Waukesha.

Announcing an Author Visit!

On April 26th, Author Lynne Brunell is coming to visit Hillcrest! She is the award winning writer for Bill Nye the Science Guy and her most recent publication, Turn This Book Into a Beehive, will be available for purchase at a discount through Boswell Books. This order form will be used to place orders before the event. Orders are due with payment by April 16th. What an excited opportunity for our learners! This fits so well with our goal to promote ways to BE CURIOUS!
