A Prayer Meditation for All Saints

We give you thanks, O God, for all the saints who ever worshiped you
Whether in brush arbors or cathedrals,
Weathered wooden churches or crumbling cement meeting houses
Where your name was lifted and adored.

We give you thanks, O God, for hands lifted in praise:
Manicured hands and hands stained with grease or soil,
Strong hands and those gnarled with age
Holy hands
Used as wave offerings across the land.

We thank you, God, for hardworking saints;
Whether hard-hatted or steel-booted,
Head ragged or aproned,
Blue-collared or three-piece-suited
They left their mark on the earth for you, for us, for our children to come.

Thank you, God, for the tremendous sacrifices made by those who have gone before us.
Bless the memories of your saints, God.
May we learn how to walk wisely from their examples of faith, dedication, worship, and love

Message from the Principal

Good evening everyone,

This week, I would like you to join me in offering Mme Monique-Jean our deepest condolences on the passing of her mother this weekend. May the Lord's strength and great love accompany her and her family during this difficult time.

On a happier note, I would like to thank everyone who has been helping out at the school whether it be for Hot Lunches, Kindergarten, doing work for teachers, going on field trips or making our belts for our Carnaval. Your help and participation is always welcome and much appreciated.

Since our Alberta weather changes so frequently, even within the same day. Please ensure that your child wears appropriate clothes for the weather. A jacket is a must, along with gloves and a hat on cooler days.

God Bless,

Mme Lafrance

'Le festival du livre' is coming!

Our French Book Festival will take place from November 5 to November 8. Please do not send money to school with your child. Students will visit the 'Festival du livre' with their teacher and create their wish lists. You will then be able to make the purchases you would like on both nights of the 3-Way Conferences.

Merci,

Mme Lafrance

Booooooooooo! C'est l'Halloween!

We will be celebrating Halloween this week. Please send your child's costume in a small bag in the morning. As in the past, costumes should not contain any toy weapons, or make-up to be applied at school. Students will be allowed to change into their costumes at lunchtime. If you are sending snacks or treats to school, please remember that we are a Nut Aware school.

Thank you for your cooperation,

Your EPK Teachers.

Beyond the Streets - Candy Collection

Following last year's successful candy drive, we will be happy to collect extra Halloween Treats again this year from Nov.1st to 9th to donate to the charity called Beyond the Streets. Beyond the Streets is a non-profit group that aims to help the homeless. Your donations will be packed in small bags and distributed as small gifts to the less fortunate. Students will receive a token for each donation of 10 mini treats or 1 large treat. The grade level that receives the most tokens by November 9th will earn a special reward at the school.

We thank you in advance for your generosity!

Your Health Champions,

Mme Desfossés and Mme Tétreault
