Victorian Shops - Josie
Remember your modern day Areopostale and Hollister? Victorian shops in the 1871s were nowhere near the style, price, and exciting enterior! Stores were smaller in size and had less items.
Shopping Lifestyle - Jenna
Shops today feature glitter shirts, blues jeans, and high-heeled shoes. Girls back in that era wore tight skirts, headpieces, and shoes. Fashion was extremely important for manners because of how they sat and curtsied. Shops like this were usually owned by women. Trying on clothes was a struggle because store clerks didn't trust people to not take items. Be glad you have that now!
