What's Happening This Week

Monday, November 22, to Friday, November 26

  • NO SCHOOL - Thanksgiving Holiday and Fall Break
  • School resumes on Monday (11/29/21)

Scholastic Book Fair THANKS!

Thanks to all our families who supported the Scholastic Book Fair last week! The turnout was FANTASTIC! Students were excited to purchase from the wide-selection books and other supplies.

We would like to extend a special thanks to the following groups for supporting our book fair and our students:

  • Our PTSA who purchased teacher-selected books for all of our classroom libraries!
  • Our many families who purchased additional teacher-selected books and who ensured that a teacher-nominated student from every class got a book to take home!

The research is clear. Students with exposure to books at school and at home, and who read every day, perform better academically and experience greater success. Together, we can give our students that advantage!

Scholastic Book Fair Online Shopping is OPEN!

Did you miss attending the book fair? Was there something additional that you wanted? You can still order from our ONLINE Scholastic Book Fair through November 28th. All online purchases benefit our school by earning us 25% in Scholastic Dollars, and there are over 5,000 items available. Book-only purchases over 425 receive FREE shipping. All orders ship direct to home.

SHINE T-shirt Sales

Thank you to our PTSA for selling SHINE shirts last week after school! Students were excited to wear their SHINE shirts on Friday - and even other days! In response to the high demand, the PTSA will be ordering hoodies as well as additional t-shirts to go on sale this January.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

We very much appreciated the opportunity to check in with families during parent-teacher conferences. These meetings are critical to our school-home partnership and help ensure that we are working together to best support your child. Thank you for your part in scheduling and attending your child's conference!
