Region Meeting Cancelled

We have decided to forgo the Region Leadership Conference. All students will be competing at the State Leadership Conference. Instead we are planning an Invitational on Saturday, January 30 for those students who would like to practice and receive constructive critiques from evaluators on their projects. More details to come next week, along with the details of State Competitions.

National News

Student Portal Privileges

Did you know that included with the student membership is access to the National FCCLA student portal? This is a place that the students can record their service hours, conferences they have attended, competitions they have competed in, and awards that they have received. This is all valuable information that students need to keep track of for their four years of high school for college admission and scholarship applications. You can check out all the information on the link below.

Affiliation Good News!!!

National has extended the membership packages until November 30!! This is the time to give this great opportunity to be a part of a professional organization to your students.

For those of you who have many members to enroll in your chapter affiliation, there is a member affiliation form for your students to complete so they can have access to the student portal and other resources from FCCLA. This form is located below.

In addition, National has created a youtube video explaining how to add your students in one bulk movement. It is also included below.

Virtual Leadership Experience - December 8 - February 12

You’re invited to learn “Beyond Measure” at FCCLA’s first-ever Virtual Leadership Experience (VLE), December 8, 2020 through February 12, 2021! VLE is an enrichment program hosted on a virtual platform for students to get involved in FCCLA and advisers to integrate FCCLA into their FCS classrooms and curriculum. The following highlights and more will be available as a resource for advisers and members to download and utilize within the VLE platform:

  • FCS and FCCLA National Program and partner highlights
  • FCCLA Chapter Management presentations
  • Career Pathway lesson plans and interviews with industry experts
  • National Program lesson plans with handouts and activities
  • Real World Skills lesson plans
  • Fundraising presentations
  • Some of the best Virtual National Leadership Conference sessions
  • National Executive Council motivational moments
  • Competitive Events recognition
  • Motivational speakers with activity resources
  • FCS Industry and University Fair
  • FCCLA Week planning board and celebration

The registration fee is $150 for a whole chapter and provides access for every affiliated adviser and member. VLE registration closes February 12, 2021 for chapters who will not be competing in Skill Demonstration Events or FCCLA/LifeSmarts Knowledge Bowl. More information is below.
