Can't Hide Our Hound Pride!

Howdy Hounds!

We hope our Hounds had a wonderful three day weekend. Although last week was short...we packed in the fun and witnessed some AMAZING learning taking place throughout the week. Thank you to all of the parents that donated items and assisted with the classroom transformations. From the Kindergarten Pumpkin Day, to campgrounds, football fields, and Hollywood style writing celebrations...we saw classrooms throughout the building become themed rooms to promote student engagement.

We ended the week with our October House Pep Rally. Congratulations to our yearbook cover contest winners that were annouced at the rally! We have lots of talented kiddos!

Monday starts the beginning of the second nine weeks. Teachers will be reaching out to begin scheduling fall conferences. Report cards for the first nine weeks will be sent home once the parent/teacher conference is held. We look forward to collaborating with our parents during this time to ensure we have have a plan that promotes student growth.

Join us Wednesday for Huggins Spirit Night at Freddy's. Be sure to check out the flyer below. Also, don't miss the flyer below regarding our Picnic with Parents as we celebrate Parent Involvement Day on Thursday, November 17th.

Here's to another great week!

Sincerely,

Bethany Cunningham

LCISD Beginning of Year Forms - Action Needed

For the 2022-23 school year, all required Lamar Consolidated ISD beginning-of-year forms must be completed online through the Skyward Family Access Center.

Offering these forms digitally allows you the convenience of only updating information that has changed from last school year, while also helping us maintain accurate information in our student information system. Instructions, important dates and technical assistance regarding the online forms can be found by clicking here. Included on this page is a link to reset your Family Access username/password if you have forgotten it.

Online forms will be available through the Family Access Center starting Aug. 1 and all forms need to be submitted no later than Sept. 16th. Your student’s schedule will not be available online through the Family Access Center until all of the beginning-of-year forms are completed for your student and after the campus has released schedules. Student schedules will be available online on Wednesday, Aug. 17th if all online forms have been completed.

For those who need access to a computer or the Internet, computers will be available on campus Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. starting August 8th.

Huggins Dress Code

Starting with the 22-23 school year, students at Huggins Elementary will not be required to follow a uniform policy. All students must comply with the LCISD Dress Code, as outlined in the Elementary Student Handbook. We encourage all students to wear purple for Charger Thursday, in support of our Fulshear Chargers. We also encourage students to participate in Huggins Spirit Day on Fridays by wearing Huggins shirts and/or red!
