The Yadkin-Pee Dee river basin stretches 5862 square miles across North Carolina, The head waters are at hanging rock and it drains in too the Atlantic Ocean. The basin takes up another 203 miles of the Atlantic ocean.
Geography
The watershed starts in the northwestern corner of North Carolina near a mountain called blowing rock. It is estimated that the river basin takes up 22,988 acres of water in North Carolina. It is the second largest body of water in North Carolina.
