Lynn Road Lions
Principal's Monthly Parent Newsletter August 2017
Greeting Lynn Road Parents & Families!
We are so excited about the return of our LRES students next week!
Before school begins, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and provide you with some background information about me and why I am committed to this work of serving children and their families.
I have spent over eighteen years in public education as a High School English Teacher, Professional Development Manager, Elementary Assistant Principal and Principal. In these roles I have consistently demonstrated my passion for ensuring all children have access to a high quality education. My leadership in urban, surburban, rural and international schools has resulted in consistent and repeated success with improved student achievement and teacher satisfaction. My recent international experience has taught me that exposure to the larger world is something our children need to experience in order to effectively navigate a global society. Further, I strongly believe, and research supports, that global education promotes greater academic success by narrowing the gap in student achievement before students reach high school. It is my sincere hope that I can use my combined experience to support and lead our community toward continued success for all of our children.
I look forward to meeting you next week and beginning this journey with the Lynn Road Elementary School community!
