Notifying Absences
Please be sure to EMAIL brightideasLC@gmail.com to notify us if your child will not be attending.
As child accountability and safety is of utmost importance, Bright Ideas does rely on parents to notify the center promptly of a child’s absence. If a child is not called in absent within 30 minutes of their regularly scheduled arrival time (3:00 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. 2:30 PM on Thursdays), the parent will be charged a $5.00 failure to notify fee per child per incident. (BILC Policy as published on our website.)
(Pre-k families may call the center.)
The next day off is November 5th.

Please let our staff know what your child comes down with so we can inform others of what signs and symptoms to look for in their child. This helps everyone to identify illness early on and treat it promptly.
It is also important that all families respect the guidelines set forth by the State for schools and child care programs. For example: children must be fever free without any medications for 24 hours before returning; children must be be free from vomiting or diarrhea for 24 hours before returning; children must be able to participate in activities and go outdoors. Please let us know if you have questions or need clarifications. You can also reference this publication by the CDC https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/disease/childhood-communicable-diseases.htm.
