A Message from Mrs. Caudill
Thank you again - from the bottom of my heart - for your patience, grace, and understanding as we all navigate this journey together. We have found out that we can do hard things and that some things are not as hard as we originally thought. I can tell you with certainty that our teachers have never worked harder. Please continue to reach out to them and to me with questions and concerns. We will work through this together!
Stay well,
Devon Caudill

Arrival and Dismissal
Since this year is a little different than years past, arrival and dismissal will look differently too. Please watch the following two videos with your student(s) so they know what to do in the morning and in the afternoon.
Classroom Ready Checklist
***********************************
All lunches must be pre-ordered by 9:00am
Families must pre-order by 9 am of the day of pick up or delivery. Meals must be pre-ordered using the District’s Nutrislice online program, or through the Nutrislice app, available on the Apple Store or Google Play. Additional information, including a video tutorial, about the Nutrislice pre-ordering process is available on the Food Service Department website.
Please note - The video shows how to do a pick-up for virtual students, but it is the same process to order for in-person students and have it delivered to Amerman. All you need to do is click the tab at the top that says delivery and select Amerman.
Where are the lunch meals being made available?
In-person learners must pre-order their lunch which will be delivered to the students’ classrooms. If you have multiple students attending in-person, parents will need to order meals for each of their students individually in Nutrislice. Please make sure that you choose the correct school and the correct classroom/teacher for each of your students when ordering for multiple students.
Online learners must also pre-order their lunch. Online learners' lunches can be picked up in the west parking lot (Athletics Department) entrance of Northville High School (45700 Six Mile Rd.) between the hours of 11 am and 1 pm each school day.
Free lunch for all students!
The Northville Public Schools Food Services Department is pleased to announce that Northville Public Schools students may now receive a free lunch each school day!
The free meals were made possible after district officials received a waiver sponsored by the United States Department of Agriculture. This change resumes the summer meal rules and regulations allowing Northville Public Schools students to receive free meals including Pre-K students. Please see the updated details below, and if you have a need for food, items may be ordered on through Nutrislice from the District website.
This program is currently planned to end on December 18th, 2020 – or until funding is exhausted – families should be aware that this USDA waiver does not replace the need to apply for free or reduced meals for the remainder of the school year for those families who are eligible. Free and Reduced meal applications from the last school year expire on October 19, 2020, and participation in the program must be renewed annually.

Covid-19 Daily Screening
Parents are required to check students for COVID-19 symptoms EACH DAY BEFORE sending a child to school. By sending your child to school, you are declaring that you have completed the NPS COVID-19 Student Symptom Checker/Screening Tool and that your child is not exhibiting any of the symptoms or conditions listed. If you answer “YES” to one or more questions, you must keep your child home from school. It is essential that this process be done daily with integrity and fidelity as modeled in this Daily Screening Public Service Announcement. Temperature checks at school may be instituted periodically as appropriate.

Medication Drop Off
If you have medication to drop off to school you can do so at the times listed below. Please be sure you have all forms completed with physician and parent signatures. Place the form and medication in one bag that is clearly labeled with your child’s name. We cannot take medication without a completed form.
If you missed our medication drop off last week, please call the school office at 248.465.2100 to make arrangement to drop off your child's medication.

Library Books
Please check to see if your student has any missing/ outstanding library books from last school year. We have tried to contact families directly . Due to the premature closing of school many students still have outstanding library books. These accounts need to be reconciled so they may check out new books when we are finally back in school. You may drop them off at the Amerman front office M-F 8am to 4pm. Thank you in advance!

must do - Annual Online Information Confirmation
Every year, all families are required to fill out the digital Annual Registration for each student. Families may complete these forms through ParentConnection. Through this process you will be asked to update your student’s emergency contact information, home address and health information, review our technology use policy and student handbooks, learn more about PTSA/PTA, access the web store and much more.
***********************************
YEARBOOKS
Due to the COVID-related delays at the post office, our yearbooks have not arrived yet. Depending on when they get here, we will either hand deliver them or schedule a pick-up time. (Last year's fifth graders' yearbooks will be sent home with a sibling or to the middle school.) Please stay tuned for more information!
