Parent-Child Book Club Offered

Would you be interested in joining a Parent-Child Book Club? The book club will meet one day a week after school from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. for four weeks. You and your child will read assigned chapters at home, discuss it, and will then be ready to participate in a discussion about the book. Interested? Please use the "Comment" section or contact Mrs. Fox in the Media Center.

Reading Fair Contest

Wednesday, March 26th, 3pm

Woodleaf Elementary Media Center

Rowan-Salisbury Schools is sponsoring a contest to encourage the reading of both fiction and nonfiction. Students are encouraged to volunteer to read, create, and display a board on a book of their choice. There will be a first place winner for Grades 2-3 and one from Grades 4-5. Winners will enjoy a movie night with their family to be held at Horizons.

Plan now to shop the Spring Book Fair! Open daily Monday -Thursday, 8:00-3:00. Tuesday, open from 8:00-7:30 (all day long!); Friday, 8:00-12:00. It's a great way to purchase books and gifts for those Easter baskets and to plan ahead for reading during "Spring Break"! PIck out a book for your child's favorite teacher to let them know how much you appreciate them. See you at the Book Fair!
