Grandparent's Day Program!
The Monroe Kindergarten through Fourth graders will be presenting their 2019 Grandparents’ Day program, A Camping Adventure on Wednesday, February 27 at 1pm. It is my pleasure to extend an invitation to you to come and enjoy this presentation that the students have been working on.
This is one of the most popular events that the school hosts each year and we do our best to accommodate the large audience in attendance. The gym will be open for seating beginning at 12:15pm; we ask that you please not arrive before 12:15 so as not to interrupt the normal flow of classes in the building. Please reserve the folding chairs on the gym floor specifically for Grandparents. If you have specific seating needs, please make this known to an administrator on your arrival that afternoon. Some limited “overflow” seating will be available in the cafeteria using the TV monitor.
Please be aware that parking on this day tends to be hectic. St Anthony’s has made known to us that while they are okay to have people park in their lots for this performance, they ask that you please not park in the circle drive in front of the church.
To go along with our theme, I would ask that the students try to wear the following specific colors.
Kindergarten: White
1st Grade: Green
2nd Grade: Orange or Yellow
3rd Grade: Red
4th Grade: Blue
ACTORS are encouraged to dress as if they were on a camping adventure!
Please try to avoid shirts with lots of writing or prints on them. In the event that your child does not have the specific color assigned to their grade, I would ask that they please wear a shirt that has a base/solid color of white or black. You should not need to go out and buy anything new, please just do the best with what you have available!
Thank you so much for your cooperation and support of the students during this program. If you have any questions about the program, please don’t hesitate to contact me through the school.
