Calling all Eagles....Evansdale Grounds Clean Up This Saturday
Evansdale Parents and Friends,
We can't believe fall is already here. Mark your calendars as we plan to freshen the school grounds prior to the holidays. Clean-up is set for this Saturday, November 12th from 9 am to 12 noon.
Bring your landscaping tools or come use ours and help clean-up the Evansdale School grounds. Children and adults are invited to help spruce things up and make the focal point of our community all it can be. Even one hour of your time can go a long way towards making our campus something we can all be proud of and sets a good example for our children.
Some tasks we'd like to tackle include: Weeding the front beds, trim front bushes, weed-eating along the cottage classrooms, blowing leaves off and edging sidewalks and parking lots, and cleaning of center courtyard. Let us know where you can help so we can get a head count.
Please forward to church groups, Boy Scout and Girl Scout Troop Parents, family and friends. For those who can't join us then, contact us and we definitely have some areas where you can help us on your own schedule.
Many thanks for your efforts!!!

Applause...Applause...for our Honor Choir Participants
Good Afternoon Everyone,
This Friday and Saturday is the DeKalb County Elementary School Honor Choir. This event, which is hosted by the county, brings two boys and two girls from each DeKalb County Elementary School together in song. The event also allows students to experience a large choir setting in a venue that surpasses their typical choir experience with me. This year, the students selected are Tristan Hicks from Ms. Echols-James' class, Zakiya Jones and Cole Jones from Ms. Anderson's class, and Miuler Gutierrez from Mr. Keesee's class.
The event ends with a concert on Saturday at 3pm. If you find yourself free on Saturday afternoon, and would like to support some of our students by attending the concert, please see the details below. Thanks, and I hope you all have a great rest of your week!

Square 1 Art Fundraiser Reminder
Square 1 Art is the fundraiser we do every year to help raise money for next year's art budget. The more sales we get the more art materials we can use during art class! The artwork should have gone home last Friday with a catalogue and a sample sheet of free stickers! The deadline for ordering is Tuesday, November 15th and the products will be delivered on December 13th just in time for the holidays. Artwork gets lost over time either in storage or in a move but if you get your child's artwork printed on something functional, you are more likely to have it forever. Square 1 Art has everything from pillow cases, iphone cases, aprons, jewelry, mugs, and so much more available for purchase. Please participate in this years fundraiser to help raise money for art supplies!
