School Lunch Information

Important School Lunch Updates

Free/Reduced Lunch

Free and reduced lunch applications are required for the 2022-23 school year. If you think your student/family might qualify please fill out the online form available through the school website. You can access this with a computer, tablet or a phone. There will not be universal free meals anymore, as the waiver in place for COVID-19 has expired.

If you are unsure if you qualify, please fill out the application, which will let you know the status immediately. Even if you do not want meals, if you qualify it impacts school funding. Qualifying student numbers determine whether or how much state and federal money the school receives for different programs and needs including:

* literacy program funding

* salary support towards paraprofessionals

* helping at-risk students meet learning standards and achieve proficiency on state assessments
* supporting effective instruction and funding professional development
* providing special education support
* receiving reimbursement for schoolwide internet access

If you do not have computer or phone access to the website application, you can come to the school office when it opens starting the week of August 8th and fill it out.

School Lunch Balances

If your child will be ordering school lunch, we would appreciate your putting a balance on their account before the school year begins and always maintain a positive balance. You will receive biweekly emails with your student's lunch balances, so please watch for those.

Affordable Internet

Affordable Internet Program

The Federal Communications Commission has announced that 20 of the nation’s internet providers have committed to lowering costs for low-income households, a step that will help improve access to high-speed internet for 48 million households nationwide. The Affordable Connectivity Program lowers internet costs for eligible families by up to $30 a month through grant funding. See attached flyer for details.

We appreciate your making a donation before the first day of school or at Back to School Night. You can pay online via PayPal at this link. *If the purchase of these supplies creates a hardship for your family, please contact the school’s Director.
