  • HUGE THANKS to Lori Wamstad for all of her help with winter MAP testing! We sincerely appreciate all of the work you do behind the scenes to support our students.
  • Mil gracias to Cristina, Aroa, Mónica, Carles, Mara and Karem for all of the support, smiles, and super-powers they have shared with our staff and students over the first half of this school year. What an amazing crew!

COLLEGE SWEATSHIRT FRIDAY! YIPPEE!!!

Friday, January 24th is our next College Sweatshirt Friday! Wear your favorite college sweatshirt or jersey, and take a moment to talk about your college/university with your students. Wearing and talking about colleges and universities is a great way to continue to build awareness and excitement about lifelong learning for our kids! Feel free to encourage students to participate as well!

CAPE Neat Treats Fundraiser

CAPE’s Neat Treats fundraiser runs from Tuesday, Jan. 14 through Thursday, January 23rd. Information and order forms will be posted in the lounge and media work room. Please give your orders to Florine. Cash is accepted as well as checks made out to CAPE.

February is I LOVE to Read Month!

Winter READING Olympics are coming to Crestview and Nuevas Fronteras in the month of February! Your students will have the opportunity to compete and earn prizes every week during I LOVE to READ month! Watch for weekly reading forms to be sent home with your students. A student may qualify for fabulous Olympic-themed prizes if they read 150 minutes per week! Each week they will have an opportunity to earn a prize for their 'medal', starting with bronze, then silver, and finally GOLD! After the third medal has been achieved, students who complete the 4th week of reading 150 minutes or more, will receive a torch trophy and be entered to win one of many wonderful prizes! These GRAND prizes can be won by students who have read the minimum required each week (600 minutes total). The grand prizes will be raffled off... there are a number of great prizes! Any student who completes the Olympic Reading Challenge will have the opportunity to witness Mrs. Haselius, Mrs. Olson-Reiners and Mr. Kane dress in costumes and sled, ski, or snowboard down the hill!

Want to add something to this staff update?

The staff update will typically come out on via email on Thursday or Friday each week. If you have an item that you would like to include in this bulletin, please email it to Tina by Wednesday noon, and we’ll do our best to add it to the bulletin. Let’s work together to use this bulletin as our primary method for making all-school announcements, and hopefully by distributing information in one central way, we can decrease the number of emails that we all receive.
