CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
Special recognition to the Math Crew, Sensei Hieggelke, and the Health Crew in the 300 Building for their work to be prepared to change those rooms over to the new teaching wall formation. Included is over 75 feet of magnetic whiteboard material, 6 sets of markers and erasers, and magnets to change any classroom wall into a bulletin board.
RJ and his crew did yeoman's work as they cleaned out various store rooms, the boiler room, and supported the work done through Fortis by our various contractors over the break. Mike Molony and the PE Aides also did a ton of work in preparation for this, obsoleting unusable equipment, and making sure those items that could be used by other buildings ended up in good hands.
The main hall on the ground floor, as well as the East Wing, have had their tile take out, any (not much, thankfully) asbestos abatement done. We will be using those as bare concrete over the next six months, which will help us to be on-schedule to open in August, and expedite the demolition in Phase 2.
