The ancient Chinese practice of Feng Shui is both an art and a science that is dedicated to balancing the energy of a specific space in order to promote the health and well-being of the people who inhabit that space. Feng means wind and Shui can be translated as water, both of which are associated with good health. Therefore naturally good Feng Shui practice leads to good health, happiness and good fortune while bad Fen Shui can lead to ill fortune.

Feng Shui follows Taoist principles which state that the land is filled with energy called Chi. Chinese belief has it that the land's energy would affect the kingdom fared.Feng Shui is based on five elements as well as incorporating the theory of balance between Yin and Yang.

There are also implications in the use of various colors. Clocks are also used in an effort to balance the energies of a home.
