StoryArk Festival
Join us for this virtual experience at 4 PM on August 16th
CELEBRATE Student Storytelling: Podcast, Film, Poetry, Music
Join us in an online event like nothing you've experienced before. Multi-media, multi-sensory, multi-dimensional, the StoryArk Festival has been designed and initiated by youth to showcase their stories in an engaging, high energy way. Be wowed by awesome short films, inspired by meaningful podcasts, touched by impactful poetry. Be amazed by the cool experience woven around these stories including:
- Laugh along with Peyton Zignego, student comedian, StoryArk pre-professional, and host of the Covid Operations podcast who will emcee the Festival
- Participate with "Zoomologist" and StoryArk pre-professional Sommerdai Kier who will "magically" make polls and games appear and whisk us to breakout rooms for Q&A with the student artists.
- Enjoy the music of sibling band NUNNABOVE, as recently seen on America's Got Talent
You won't want to miss the StoryArk Festival - not only for the powerful stories being shared, but also to witness a new form of entertainment.
Sign up before August 10th to receive Welcome Package
In the spirit of generosity
While the Festival is a free celebration of student storytelling in all of its diversity, StoryArk is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that would be delighted to accept any gift you might wish to empower, uplift and amplify youth voice. All who donate in any amount are invited to an after party immediately following the Festival where they will be entertained by NUNNABOVE, hang out with both the professional, pre-professional and youth artists, and be a part of special giveaways of student art.
With much gratitude
Thank you to the St Croix Valley Foundation, Stillwater Area Public Schools, and Kowalski's Markets for their support.
This activity is funded, in part, by an appropriation from the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the State’s general fund.
Empower. Uplift. Amplify
StoryArk helps students in middle school and high school initiate creative teams in which they communicate, collaborate and connect with each other to imagine and produce narrative podcasts, short films, and a literary magazine that publishes prose, poetry and visual arts. We ask youth, “What’s your story? How do you want to tell it?” They respond in ways that transform not only themselves, but also the audience who gains empathy and understanding of the student experience.
StoryArk is a 501c(3) tax exempt organization that seeks to serve the greater good.
