April 2023 District Newsletter

π¬ Superintendent's Message π¬
Thank you to all for your support of our schools, staff, and students this weekend. With the passage of the operational override at the ballot this Saturday, the school and town will be able to implement a level service budget that allows the schools to retain many of the crucial staffing positions implemented over the past two years.
I am deeply grateful to our Hingham School Committee, the Select Board, the Advisory Committee, town officials, and our students and families who advocated for the override. I am grateful for the civic engagement of the past few months as we shared how the budget will continue to support the districtβs Strategic Plan moving forward and the needed supports of our students as we continue to recover from the impacts of the pandemic.
As we begin Teacher Appreciation Week, we celebrate and honor all of our educators who care and love our young people each day. They make magic everyday in our classrooms across our schools. We honor the lessons they have planned, the feedback they have provided, the smiles they give each day, and the joy they instill in our young people.
We are so grateful to finish off the school year with the many activities that honor the accomplishments of our students and staff from musical performances, school and class events, and graduation ceremonies. All of these events as we come together as school communities are a testament to all that we have to be proud of.
With deepest gratitude,
Margaret Adams
Thank you Hingham!
