What a Social Worker Can Do For You.
Social workers help people solve and cope with their problems in their everyday lives. One group of social workers also diagnose and treat mental, behavioral and emotional issues. Social workers can be employed almost anywhere, including but not limited to; mental health clinics, school, child welfare and human service agencies, hospitals, settlement houses, community development corporation, and private practices.

Social workers often deal with teenagers or younger because of the stress of school or family problems.

Social workers also tend to work with adults because of their stressful everyday jobs.
