What Will We Be Learning This Week??
Writing: We will take our narrative writing post-assessment at the beginning of the week and celebrate our growth as writers by having a publishing party. Beginning on Wednesday, we will begin brainstorming topics and ideas for writing our very own Non-Fiction books!
Math: We will begin learning about two-digit addition and subtraction, problem solving, and solving problems with multiple addends.
Social Studies: We will name current public officials through listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Science: We will be given a problem involving physical objects, then design a solution that involves an experiment to test and gather data.
Important Dates:
- October 5th - WEAR BLUE - World Day of Bullying Prevention
- October 7th - College Shirt Day
- October 7th - Library Pickup (11:00-1:00)
- October 12th - NO SCHOOL!
Important Notes:
Zoom Accounts: Some of our learners still have not consolidated their Zoom accounts (you can tell if your child has (Guest) next to their name on Zoom calls. Please follow the directions here, to ensure that your child is still able to access our Zoom calls.
iPad Update: A new Software update is available on your child's iPad. Please go in and update it before October 13th, in order for them to be able to access content without any interruptions.
MAP TESTING: Please remember that this is a test that learners will take INDEPENDENTLY. They should find a quiet spot at home to complete this assessment, after getting started on their class zoom at 10:15
