Burn ban lifted
Fire Chief Doug Kendrick lifted the Town's burn ban on Monday, Sept. 26.
Sunnyvale Fire Rescue would like to remind residents of the following:
- A Burn Permit is required in order to burn in the Town.
- Burn permit applications can be filled out in person at Town Hall or online at www.townofsunnyvale.org/burning.
- Once filled out, drop it off at Town Hall - 127 N. Collins Rd. or the Fire Station - 404 Tower Place, OR email it to fire1@townofsunnyvale.org.
- Once the burn permit application has been received, an inspector will call to schedule an inspection prior to you being able to burn. *Please keep in mind that the Sunnyvale Fire Rescue is receiving numerous burn permit applications and they are working to address each one as quickly as possible.
- Burn permit applications can be filled out in person at Town Hall or online at www.townofsunnyvale.org/burning.

National Night Out
Come out and celebrate National Night Out next Tuesday, Oct. 4 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Town Center Park!
NNO is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. NNO enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community.
Join us at Town Center Park on Tuesday, Oct. 4 from 6 - 9 p.m for bounce houses, food, vendors, and more. You'll even have a chance to dunk Police Chief Andrew Hawkes in a dunking booth!
Carter BloodCare will also be on site. Sign up for an appointment using the button below, or walk-in on the day of the event.
The Police Department has done a fantastic job planning this event and we hope to see everyone next week!
Parking information:
Parking is similar to Sunnyfest. There will be a shuttle from the schools to Trinity Capital Bank, where they will drop off and pick up continuously throughout the night.

Join us on the front lawn of Town Hall on Friday, Nov. 11 as we honor our nation's heroes, both past and present.
Are you a veteran who would like to be recognized? Email your name, rank, and branch of service to publicrelations@townofsunnyvale.org. Or, if you know of a veteran, have them do the same!
Fast and Furriest Turkey Trot
Put on your running shoes and meet us at Raider Stadium on Thursday, Nov. 24 at 7 a.m. for the fourth annual Fast and Furriest Turkey Trot.

Deck the HALL Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
There's no better way to get in the holiday spirit than by joining the Town of Sunnyvale for the annual lighting of Town Hall and the Town's Christmas tree!
Santa Claus is coming to town on Friday, Dec. 2 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Come by Town Hall to enjoy cookies, hot cocoa, pictures with Santa, and more!

If you missed the Library's first Book Club meeting last week, it's not too late to join!
The Book Club's next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 5:30 p.m. Stop by the Doris Padgett Public Library to pick up a copy of the next book - The Light We Lost by Jill Santopolo.
