SpringISD Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month
Spring ISD is celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15 through Oct. 15), held each year to honor the cultures and contributions of individuals who identify as Hispanic or Latino/Latina/Latinx.
In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, we are inviting students to participate in our October Literacy Event: Te Celebro. This is an event in which students will write a letter to someone, past or present, whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central or South America. Students are encouraged to celebrate the histories, cultures and contributions of their recipient and recognize their influence then and now. This is an opportunity for students to celebrate how famous Hispanic-Americans have impacted their own lives.
To participate:
1. Complete the Te Celebro Event Form
2. Submit your written letter to Room 1411KA or email your typed letter to tatlee@springisd.org
Deadline October 30, 2021
** All students who submit letters will be enter into drawing to be recognized and receive a special gift **
