Spätzel

Spätzel is an original German food. It kind of resembles spaghetti noodles. Spätzel can be grated in many ways.

Dumplings

I'm bringing traditional German dumplings, they taste like bread with butter. They have the texture of a noodle.

THE RECIPE:

Ingredients

4 eggs

White flour

Wheat flour

1/4 cup milk

1/4 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp Onion powder

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp salt

Directions

Whisk eggs, add in salt, onion and garlic powder. Add baking powder and milk. Last add flours ( half and half ) until it reaches a thick dough like consistency. Fill large pot half way with water heat to boil. Then drop spoonfuls of dough into boiling water, they will sink first then float up to the top, after all the dough is in the pot cut one in half to make sure they are done and remove from pot when cooked. Enjoy with butter, sautéed onions or sour kraut.
