Mathematics
We just took our Winter i-Ready tests, and our team made tremendous growth towards their goals! On Friday, we began our new unit all about angles. This unit will continue until break and then a few weeks into second semester.
The tentative schedule for next week is:
Monday--Drawing Angles of given measures (homework assigned)
Tuesday--Complementary and supplementary angles
Wednesday--Interim Test (practice state test)
Thursday--Vertical and adjacent angles
Friday--practice complementary, supplementary, vertical, and adjacent angles (HW due)
If you have any questions or concerns about math class, please email me at shannonjones@usd475.org.
Science
This week we have been working on plate tectonics. The students have been working on identifying plate boundaries in groups. It has been a challenging assignment! The students have been required to really think outside the box on it. They will be presenting their findings next week as a group.
