iReady Diagnostics
Our iReady Diagnostic window is 8/14-8/30. Mr. Beasley is composing a schedule that will ensure all students have ample time to take both the reading and the math diagnostics. Remember, this information helps you better understand students' strengths and areas for growth, but only when the data is accurate. The most important thing you can do to get accurate data is to motivate students to put forth their best effort. Watch this video to get the latest tips and tools for getting good data! I have attached the "Get Good Data eKit" for your reference. Please take the opportunity to review it prior to your students' diagnostic dates.
Utilize your time this week to conduct your data chats with each student. It is imperative for students to know where they stand. You have access to their historical reports, which is a great tool to use during these data chats. It is imperative that this is done for every student. If students are new to us, explain the value of iReady data and how it will be used throughout the year to measure their success. I have attached a document that will help you as you conduct these data chats.

Reminders from the office...
- Attendance needs to be taken by 7:45.
- Initial AND date all notes received by parents before placing in folders to go to the office.
- Any discipline referrals or infractions being turned into the office should be kept private from other students.
- Protect student privacy by not discussing student matters with anyone other than the people involved with that student. Be aware of your surroundings - especially in the office. Often times, there are parents in the waiting area.
- Send all monies collected, permission forms, parent notes, etc. to the office (or in the folder) first thing in the morning. Do not hold any money until later in the day.
- Do not send students to the teacher workrooms to purchase soft drinks.
- All flyers of any kind should be approved prior to sending home.
- If possible, please inform the office when making parent phone calls. When they call back they almost never know who called them, even if you left a voicemail.
- A permanent transportation chart should be kept in the classroom at all times. If the office informs you of a permanent transportation change, you MUST make the change on your chart. Check transportation prior to dismissal.
- Please discard any Medical Analysis nurse forms. See Nurse Jasmine for new ones.
- Keep your subfolders updated with current rosters and current transportation.
