Invitation to Paparangi Parent Helpers
All this year's wonderful parent helpers are warmly invited to a thank you morning tea on Monday. We are excited that we are able to hold events like this again!
When: Monday 13 December at 11:15-11:40 am in the staffroom
We’d like to show our appreciation to parents and helpers like you who support Paparangi School throughout the year. We can’t offer all the extra curricular activities we do without our awesome helpers - what wonderful role models for our tamariki you are!
If you’re able to come along, please provide proof of your vaccine passport at the office - email to kerry@paparangi.school.nz or bring it with you. If you’ve provided it for a school event already then you don’t need to provide it again. Don't forget to wear a mask!

Next Monday is the last Enviro Day of the year, with events planned across the day - weather permitting of course! Parents are welcome to come along and help in the gardens - contact your child's home class teacher to let them know you can help. We'd love to have you (subject to vaccine requirements of course!) Children, bring your gardening equipment, gumboots and gloves - all named please!

Reports are being sent home on Monday with information about your child's class placement for 2022. Stationery lists, Classroom Consumables and information about the school report are also in the envelopes.
Emergency Packs for next year
In 2022 there are two options for providing your child with an emergency pack. More information will be sent home with stationery lists on Monday:
Supply a pack for your child or children, the same as previous years. Must be provided by 28 February.
Pay $7 and an emergency kit will be supplied for your child. Thanks to the Home and School Committee who are organising emergency kits for families who order them.
2021 Emergency Packs
This year's emergency packs will be sent home to those families who have requested this on the last day of term. All other food items will be sent to the food bank on Monday 13 December. If you would like to have your child’s full emergency pack sent home and have not yet notified the school office please contact the office urgently. Thank you.
Back to School Stationery 2022
Qizzle are suppliers of school stationery packs next year. This is a stress free way to order stationery for your child/ren for the start of the year and ensures they have the correct stationery items at the start of the new school year. A brochure providing details on how to order stationery is attached to next year’s stationery list.
Big Grocery Raffle
Awesome effort Paparangi! The raffle was drawn today and all the lucky winners will be contacted over the weekend. We've had such a tremendous response from our community - thanks to everyone who sold tickets or donated grocery items. Instead of three prize hampers, there were ELEVEN hampers to give away! And over $3000 has been raised! Spot prizes for students will be given out at next week's assembly. Home and School are fundraising for a new Outdoor Sound System, Y6 Leavers Gifts and the Senior Camp in February next year. Thanks everyone for your overwhelming support.
Did you order an Activity Kit? These will be sent home with your child on Monday afternoon.
Pizza lunch orders closed today. There are no late orders.
Our Library is closed
Our wonderful library closed last week for it's annual stock-take.
Please check if you have any library or school books at home. It is time to return all issued books.
There is a box in the office for returns.
Kindo school shop - tips for school leavers
If your family is leaving our school and moving to another school that does not use Kindo for school payments, you need to close your account. If you’re not sure about the new school, log in, go to My Details and click on the list of schools, scrolling to find your new school.
If your new school is NOT on the list, use the 'close account' button on that screen. You can choose to donate your balance to school or have it paid out to your nominated bank account.
