Crazy Doc's rant and raves...
Teachers, I am putting two weeks worth of News and Notes together as I will be out on the later half of next week as Rachal and I are suffering through the National SAM conference. Thank you for allowing us this opporunity to learn, I am sure you are looking forward to what ideas we will bring back for you to try out!
When I go to the district principal meetings there is always a round table portion of the day where we learn from other peers, this is not the most exciting part of my day because it usually revolves around something we have already completed. This team is a trend setter in the district - when we view videos on Math Workshop it is usually our teachers, when we have data discussions it was something we had already completed at a previous team meeting, when we look at the new ELA curriculum it is something I have already seen in the classrooms being honed and crafted as we adapt to the new curriculum. It is an honor to be part of this team. Thank you for all of your hard work.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Quick hits:
- As you start to put your calendar together for the year, please avoid field trips on Wednesday (Wings), Thursday, and Friday.
- Please keep all tardy passes and send them home quarterly with the report card envelopes.
Also, so you are in the loop, at the end of the year, we have an exciting experience for students who have maintained 100% attendance throughout the year. We will be taking them to Fritz's Adventure on May 4th. We currently have 17 students with 100% attendance!
Teacher Spotlight
Andrew, Laura, and Leslie are new to us, or in new roles. They are stepping up and taking the roles on with gusto. Thank you for all you are doing!
Do you have a idea for a person in the spotlight? Please let me know.
On-Going Reminders
- If you send a student to the focus room please do so with one of the tickets Casey has provided, that way she knows why they are there. If they do not have a ticket they will be sent back to class.
- Please follow the nurse's stoplight schedule.
- If you send a student to the office please make sure they have a pass.
- Please make sure you are not sending large printing jobs to the basic printers, please send these to the copiers.
- Lunch counts and attendance need to be entered by 9:30, or Terri will start calling.
