Brought to you by the Shepard Elementary PTA
From our Principal
Dear Shepard Families,
Mr. Braden and I have a little principal confession we’d like to make…we don’t like our offices. Sitting in our offices clearing email or filing reports is not why we do this job. Our favorite part of the job is walking into classrooms, seeing the kids and teachers, and being part of that classroom community. The relationships we build with the students during those “walk abouts” are what make the difference when we do need to deal with a situation in our office, like a struggling student or a frustrated child. But in addition to that…walking into a classroom really brings a sense of joy to any visitor. Our kids are so excited to share everything they’ve learned. That’s what also makes Open House so special. You get to share in that excitement.
I hope you will have the opportunity to attend our Open House this Thursday, March 8 from 5:30-7:00. Our Book Fair will be open until 7:30.
Sincerely,
Kristin Bishop
