Attendance Matters
To increase accountability, written notes are not accepted. Parents are required to CALL or email within 24 hours to the Attendance Office 971-200-8052 to excuse their student. Unexcused absences will result in the inability to make up work. An automated call system will begin each evening at 4:30 pm. The system will notify parents if a student has an unexcused absence or is tardy for one or more periods during the day. Absences from school or class will be excused under the following circumstances:
Illness of the student;
Illness of an immediate family member when the student's presence at home is necessary;
Emergencies that require the student's absence;
Field trips and school-approved activities;
Medical/dental appointments;
Other reasons are deemed appropriate by the school administrator when satisfactory arrangements have been made in advance of the absence, such as appointments at the DMV.
Pre-arranged absence. Forms available in the Main Office.
NOTE: Oversleeping, even when excused by a parent/guardian, is not considered as excused.
Process for student pick-up before the end of the day:
- If a student is to be picked up for an appointment or planned event, a parent/guardian needs to contact the main office/attendance at least an hour before the dismissal time so that parents aren't waiting a prolonged period of time.
Attention Parents: Class of 2022
Class of 2022 families, we need your help during this exciting time! Please scan the QR code and fill out the quick form sharing your contact info to be updated about upcoming graduation events. We need to raise approximately $40,000 for graduation events, and there are many quick, easy ways to help. We are hoping each family can help at our Can and Bottle Drive for a 2-hour time slot. We are in desperate need of volunteers this Saturday, Oct. 2nd, from 8:30-2:30. Please follow the link below to sign up for one of our monthly fundraisers. We have been raising around $3,000 with 6 hours of easy work. Our community has embraced our seniors and show up each month, donating an astonishing amount of cans/bottles. We want to keep this tradition going but need your help!

Safety Updates and Student Dropoff
Please reference the link for the updated RSSL document from the Oregon Department of Education’s Ready School Safe Learners for all current regulations.
Parents, please do not use the bus turnaround for student dropoff after 8:30 AM. Also, after school, there are no cars allowed in the bus turnaround. Please plan accordingly. It causes safety issues with the loading/unloading process. We appreciate the cooperation with adhering to using the two lower lots for dropoff.
Cafe News
Remember lunch and breakfast are free! Students, please stop in and grab a breakfast sandwich, some pizza, or a delicious sandwich. When you do that, take the time to meet our fantastic kitchen staff.
We are also looking for interested students to work during lunch. If interested, please see Mr. Kelley, Mr. McKedy, or Mr. French for details.
Here is the menu:
We have various ala carte items to pick from, such as chips, water, cookies. These items are not part of the free lunch, so make sure you have some money on your account.
Students, please remember to clean up after your meal and thank your custodial staff for all their work to keep your cafe clean.
